what is Metamorphosis?

With Metamorphosis we created a unique way for them to share this experience with their young peers, creating a pure access to their personal stories and their way of growing up in this challenging situation. Shifting the focus from stigmatized images of cancer patients to the changes they go through and the way they still succeed in expressing their identities
The power of fashion to build communities creates the so much needed bridge between people affected and their peers.

"Metamorphosis - an awareness campaign for young cancer patients.“

"Around 1.3 million young people globally are diagnosed with cancer every year.

Their youth is marked by experiences that most of their peers won’t face until much later in life. Understanding their situation isn’t always easy—what is it really like to be young and living with cancer?
Many loose connection to their peers and struggle with prejudice or stigmata around their illness. In close collaboration with the Zurich Cancer League, Numéro switzerland and with the support of Zurich-based scene label Closnea, we are providing three young creatives affected by cancer with a platform to share their personal stories. For all of them fashion created a space to beware and express their identity as young adults despite physical and mental challenges faced during the battle against cancer.
